We provide you with an estimate of costs immediately after opening your file, and you are entitled to seek details of costs and expenses at any time during your matter. For any matter in which our costs are greater than $750 plus GST, we are obliged to provide you with a written costs agreement and disclosure statement.
We are obliged prior to any mediation or conciliation to provide you with a statement in writing about the extent of your costs to that point, and the likely costs of proceeding to trial or a final hearing.
In family law matters, in appropriate cases, we may be prepared to suspend payment of our costs and expenses until the conclusion of the case (on conditions).
Please note that we do not undertake legally aided matters.
